The first problem was the 3rd floor AC unit. Water started pouring out of the ceiling panel on the 3rd floor. We shut the AC unit off, cleaned up the water and put some buckets underneath to catch remaining water leaking out. The interior is still exposed and they will be exposing more to ensure they find all the potential damage . Now we’re just without tv because the scaffolding blocks the dish but at least the dehumidifier is gone so we can use our kitchen sink again. I’ll certainly take no tv over a leaky house, hopefully they’ll complete the work next week and we won’t have to go through this again.

Trust me, there will be a lot of things that you will discover defective after you have lived in the house that was even inspected by a third party home inspector prior to closing. We were hoping to get answers to these and other questions from Cal. Instead of getting answers, Cal had an attorney send letters that denied any responsibility and, without having visited the house, denied that there was anything wrong with the house. The amazing thing is that the cost we paid to fix the framing and structural issues noted by the inspectors/engineers was probably not much more than how much it cost Cal to have an attorney send letters.
